Don’t be embarrassed!
It can be embarrassing talking about problems - especially if it’s affecting a more intimate part of your body. Many intimate problems are surprisingly common – in fact 50% of people will suffer from piles at some point during their life* - so there's no need to feel like you're the only one suffering.
The main thing to remember is that piles can easily be treated and ignoring the problem or treating it incorrectly can make things worse, so it's best to get it checked out.
If you think you may have piles, you should seek advice from a healthcare professional who will be willing to talk openly about your condition. This could be your GP or even your local pharmacist - many modern pharmacies have a separate room where you can talk in private.
Alternatively you can call the Germoloids Piles Advice Line on 0845 6010901 where you can speak to a trained Healthcare Professional in confidence.
